Nano-needling
What is it?
Nano needling is different from micro needling.
This is a less aggressive, "no needle" alternative to microneedling.
The needles are approximately 0.15mm & pain-free. This method stimulates collagen production in the skin by painlessly and safely infusing active ingredients (MesoTech Vials) through thousands of microscopic channels.
Nano needling is a non-invasive skin treatment delivery system designed to rejuvenate your skin and treat common issues like lack of tone, uneven texture, acne, excessive pigmentation, scarring, and loss of elasticity.
There is no pain, inflammation, bleeding, or discomfort. Nano-needling is very safe, non-invasive and only affects the epidermis, making it both painless and very effective. Nano infusion is safe for all skin types and tones. There is no risk of post traumatic hyperpigmentation, nor is there any recovery time.
Nano needling and micro needling both treat similar skincare concerns and both use a skin needling pen to create microchannels in the skin. This then triggers the skin’s natural healing process - the skin produces more collagen and elastin to ‘heal’ the micro injuries, which results in improved skin health and a reduction to the visible signs of ageing.
What is the difference between micro-needling and nano needling?
The primary difference between micro needling and nano needling is that microneedling penetrates the skin deeper into the dermis, whereas nano needling only punctures the epidermis (the first layers of the skin). This means that nano needling is a gentler process than microneedling & still has immediate and long term benefits.
What are the contraindications?
Nano needle is contraindicated (as any type of facial) to any kind of active inflammation (e.g. active acne, dermatitis, herpes labialis etc.) on the area to be treated. Also be cautious with irritated skin & sensitized skin.

Who should Nano Needling?who should get Microneedling?
In short, patients who need more intense rejuvenation should opt for microneedling, while patients who need less significant impact and want a less invasive treatment should go for nano needling instead.
If you are concerned about fine lines & wrinkles, swelling, dark pigmentation or sagging skin, then nano-needling is for you. If your skin care concerns include deep wrinkles, hypo-pigmentation, stretch marks or deep acne scars, then micro-needling would be the treatment for that.
